Sample itinerary
- 08:30 – Hotel pickup in Mount Emei city; drive to Leshan (approx. 40 mins).
- 09:30 – Arrive at Leshan Giant Buddha scenic area. Take a boat to see the Buddha from the river (approx. 30 mins).
- 10:30 – Enter the scenic area on foot and climb the stairs to the head of the Buddha.
- 11:30 – Descend the nine-turn staircase to the feet of the Buddha (be prepared for crowds).
- 12:30 – Lunch at a local restaurant (own expense).
- 14:00 – Visit Lingyun Temple and the nearby pagoda.
- 15:30 – Drive back to Mount Emei.

Good to know
The nine-turn staircase can be very crowded; if you prefer to avoid the queue, the boat option offers a great view with less walking. Wear comfortable shoes and bring sun protection. The tour operates in all weather conditions.
