Chengdu Panda Base Half-Day Tour

Most visitors see sleeping pandas. You will see pandas eating, climbing and tumbling — because we enter at 7:30–8:00 am, right when the base opens and the bamboo breakfast begins. By 10:30 am the crowds arrive and the pandas nap; by then you are already on your way back.

Good to know

Paths inside the base are gently sloped and stroller-friendly. In summer bring a hat and water; enclosures are shaded but it gets humid. Photography without flash is allowed throughout.

Itinerary

1. 07:30
   Hotel pickup

   Meet your guide and driver at your hotel and drive to the Chengdu Panda Base.

2. 08:00
   Panda feeding time

   Arrive for the 8:00–10:00 feeding window, when pandas are most active.

3. 10:30
   Nursery & red panda

   Optional nursery visit to spot newborn cubs, then the red panda enclosures.

4. 11:30
   Return to hotel

   Drive back and arrive before noon — the rest of the day is yours.
