Beijing is more than red walls and yellow tiles — there are wild Great Wall sections and canyons deep in the Yanshan Mountains. This route is designed for walkers, photographers and stargazers. In four days we hike the wild Jiankou Great Wall, explore Longqing Gorge, and stay in a mountain guesthouse where the Milky Way is overhead. Moderate difficulty, views worth every step.
