Linzhi Market Walk & Tibetan Butter Tea Experience

This half-day experience is all about everyday Tibetan life in linzhi. You will wander a local market with your guide, learn about ingredients used in Tibetan cooking, then sit down in a small tea house to make and taste butter tea and tsampa. It is a relaxed, cultural half-day that pairs well with any of our other linzhi tours.

Sample itinerary

• 09:00 – Hotel pickup and short drive to a local morning market.
• 09:30 – Guided market walk: see vegetables, yak dairy products, and tsampa ingredients; taste a few local snacks.
• 10:30 – Walk to a nearby family-run tea house for a butter tea and tsampa demonstration.
• 11:30 – Free time to ask questions and enjoy the tea before returning to your hotel around 12:00.

Good to know

This tour is suitable for all ages and involves easy walking on flat ground. Vegetarian and non-dairy options can be arranged if requested at least one day in advance. Please bring a small reusable bag for any market purchases.
