Happy Valley Shenzhen is a 4A-rated theme park in Nanshan, offering nine themed zones packed with roller coasters, water rides and family shows. It's the city's biggest amusement draw, and our private guide handles tickets, timing and navigation so you spend your day on rides, not queues.

Opened in 1998, Happy Valley Shenzhen is part of the OCT Group's chain of theme parks and holds a 4A rating from China's tourism authority. The park spreads across nine themed areas, including Spanish Town, Cartoon City, Gold Mine Town, Shangri-La Forest, Typhoon Bay, Sunshine Beach, Happy Times, Magic Castle and Maya Water Park. Signature rides include the Snow Mountain Flying Dragon coaster, which dives through a man-made mountain, and the Shoot the Chute water plunge. Seasonal events like the October Halloween festival and summer night openings draw big local crowds.
The park sits in the OCT (Overseas Chinese Town) leisure district, next to Window of the World and Splendid China. It is well served by Shenzhen Metro Line 1 and 2 at Window of the World Station, with clear English signage. Most visitors spend a full day here; lines for top coasters can exceed an hour on weekends. Our guides know the park's layout and can plan a route that hits the major rides early, then uses the afternoon for shows and water attractions.

Take Shenzhen Metro Line 1 or 2 to Window of the World Station (Exit A), then walk about 10 minutes; the park entrance is signposted. A taxi from Futian or Luohu takes 20–40 minutes depending on traffic. We usually pair Happy Valley with a morning at Window of the World or a evening in OCT Loft, and our guide can arrange transfers so you arrive before opening.
Adult day tickets cost around ¥230–¥260; child, senior and night tickets are cheaper (roughly ¥120–¥180). Opening hours vary by season, typically 9:30am–9pm, with shorter hours in winter. Book online via the official WeChat mini-program or Trip.com to avoid ticket-window queues. Foreign credit cards are often not accepted at the gate; use WeChat Pay or Alipay linked to an international card, or ask our guide to purchase on your behalf.
Visit on a weekday in spring (March–May) or autumn (October–November) for mild weather and smaller crowds. Avoid Chinese public holidays and summer weekends. Arrive at opening time to hit the biggest coasters first; if you want the Halloween atmosphere, come in October but expect heavy evening crowds.

Yes, Cartoon City and Happy Times have gentle rides and shows for small kids. Height restrictions apply on thrill rides, so check signage or ask our guide to plan a family-friendly route.
Most ticket counters and shops prefer WeChat Pay or Alipay. Foreign cards are rarely accepted directly, so link your card to those apps or let our guide handle payments for you.
Plan for a full day, about 6–8 hours, to cover major rides and a show or two. If you visit in summer, add extra time for Maya Water Park.
The park provides paper maps with English labels, and the app has a basic English interface. Our guides can also give you a customised route to minimise walking and waiting.
